Describe your experience of forming the team.

Initially, the team comprised of Alan, Aaron, and me. However, Justin and Ryan trickled in as time progressed.

How did you determine who will do what?

We allotted the most tedious work to the one with the most skill, Ryan, and everything else was given on a first come first serve basis.

How was the role decided? Did you have problems with the assignment of the role?

It was based off of our abilities and motivation.

How did you communicate with each other? During class, by email? Collaboratively or individually?

We communicated during class both collaboratively and individually.

Did you have problems with communication?

Not too much, there were kinks when some of us were absent but they would not adversely affect things as anything could be done at a later date.

Did you have quality control? Did your Creative Director overlook the quality of everyone's work?

Each client project was different and the primary would take control of the situation and allot jobs depending on availability. The efficiency of each project was effectively determined by the primary that would allot the jobs.

With the clients, did you find your own and did our own work or work collaboratively on each project? If so, describe your roles?

We worked together as a team to complete our goals.

As a team, were you able to meet the satisfaction of your clients by providing professional customer service, quality work and meeting the deadlines? Pleas share any positive or negative experience and how as a team, you resolve these issues?

No. We can know that, secretly, our projects are piss-poor creations that anyone with half a brain could make. Even our most skilled designer would not compare to a real graphic designer. We had neither the time nor the technical know how to create anything worth being paid for or displayed on someone's website.

Overall, how did you work with your team?

We worked well together since we had a good understanding of each others downfalls and strengths.

What have you learned? Did you have any regrets? What would you do differently?

I learned that you need excessive time to create any image worth being distributed. We also need to be wary of copyright infringement since many of the images could be considered such.

Rate your overall experience working with your team.

I rate my experience as an 8/10 since we collaborated efficiently with our only downfall being absolutely no real skill in professionalism. We were merely boys playing at being adults in the graphic design industry and any payed graphic designer would scoff at our pathetic efforts.

Who was your client?

Alan's dad, Arthur Leung.

How did you get your job?

Alan's dad needed internet presence and our firm could help provide that for him.

Did you deal with the client directly?

No, Alan was the one who made contact with his dad. We were only workers.

Was there some sort of compensation?

No, we did this from the kindness of our hearts and the need to do something.

What was your role?

I helped create many of the corporate identity for the client's website.

Did you act professionally?

Yes, I worked through a chain of command and would do the work requested of me.

Did your client act professionally?

Yes, I never actually got to meet the client so it all felt like I was only a subordinate.

Describe the work you did.

I worked on the many corporate identity items but specifically did most work on the lanyard.

Describe your creative process.

I picked a blank lanyard and used his dad's preexisting logo to superimpose an image over the lanyard.

How often did you communicate with your client?

Often, since Alan sees him at home all the time. we communicated through him most of the time.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?

No, we worked on a do and be judged basis where we critiqued each others work.

Were you able to meet the deadline?

Yes, we finished before the deadline.

What was the feedback from your client?

He said it was not bad, but could be better.

Did your client require changes?

He suggested what we could of done differently but did not require changes.

What was your favorite part working with the client?

He was honest and provided feedback.

What was your least favorite part working with the client?

There wasn't much of a least favorite park for working with the client.

Would you do anything differently?

I would find a better image of the lanyard since I had to cut out a few pieces.

What did you learn from this experience?

I learned that there are other and more creative ways to creating a lanyard after looking at some examples afterwards.

Describe your experience of forming the team.

Initially it was just Anthony, Alan, and I. Then Ryan and Justin joined in second semester and we worked together.

How did you determine who will do what?

We gave each other jobs we were specifically good in. Ryan was Design Director. Justin was the Customer Relationships.

How was the role decided? Did you have problems with the assignment of the role?

It was based off of our abilities and motivation.

How did you communicate with each other? During class, by email? Collaboratively or individually?

We communicated during class both collaboratively and individually.

Did you have problems with communication?

Not so much. We are good friends and we have access to each other since we see each other almost every day.

Did you have quality control? Did your Creative Director overlook the quality of everyone's work?

Our Creative Director told us what needed to be changed and what could stay.

With the clients, did you find your own and did our own work or work collaboratively on each project? If so, describe your roles?

We worked as a team to finish the client projects, but most of the time we did individual projects.

As a team, were you able to meet the satisfaction of your clients by providing professional customer service, quality work and meeting the deadlines? Pleas share any positive or negative experience and how as a team, you resolve these issues?

We thought we did the client projects right, but in the end we did them wrong and had to correct ourselves.

Overall, how did you work with your team?

We all had a good time and it was pretty fun.

What have you learned? Did you have any regrets? What would you do differently?

I learned that we need to pay more attention to the directions and don't have much regrets.

Rate your overall experience working with your team.

I rate my experience 8/10. There should just be the client projects and no other mini projects in between because everything would be all over the place. The project should've had our mind focused on it and nothing else. With that said, the deadlines should be earlier.

Describe your experience of forming the team.

We were formed with initially of Aaron, Anthony, and me. However Ryan and Justin joined in second semester and we worked together to form the Best Firm Ever.

How did you determine who will do what?

We based it off our abilities. For example, Ryan was assigned Design Director because he is good at photoshop and creating Logos. Justin is new so he was in charge of handling the customer relationships. Anthony manages us to get us in check cause he knows how to get us to work. Aaron is good in illustrator and art, so he was the Creative Designer. I can edit our work and critique how the project looks so I was Web Designer.

How was the role decided?  Did you have problems with the assignment of the role?

It was mostly based off our abilities and motivation. We did have slower days where we did not do as much, but in the end, we pulled it together and finished the work.

How did you communicate with each other? During class, by email? Collaboratively or individually?

We communicated with each other during class and sometimes when we saw each other on campus, we would ask how the client project was going.

Did you have problems with communication?

Not really. We are good friends so we have access to each other. Furthermore, the clients was our parents so we had good communication.

Did you have quality control?  Did your Creative Director overlook the quality of everyone's work?

He did oversee everyone and tell us what needed to be changed and what could stay. He helped me edit and fix some of the photos that weren't sufficient.

With the clients, did you find your own and did our own work or work collaboratively on each project?  If so, describe your roles?

We worked collaboratively to complete our projects for our clients. Most of the time, we did individual projects, such as corporate identities for me and we all took over in some part of each other's job. Technically, we worked as a team to complete each other and the leader of each position shared their leadership.

As a team, were you able to meet the satisfaction of your clients by providing professional customer service, quality work and meeting the deadlines?  Please share any positive or negative experience and how as a team, you resolve these issues?

We made the deadline for every client project but we had to redo them. I think we did well as a group;however, we misunderstood some earlier directions so it threw us off track. It would help if we were to pay more attention in class and had more consistent work days. However, I think our group was very memorable and sufficient for an amateur design team.

Overall, how well did you work with your team?

We all had a good time and overall, it was pretty fun.

What have you learned? Did you have any regrets?  What would you do differently?

I learned an amateur design team is far different from a professional design team. Our works were not bad, but I am positive professional teams would make our designs look bad. I think we probably could have paid attention more and had less slow days to make our team more efficient. Furthermore, we needed more practice with the programs to give us greater control of the design tools.

Rate your overall experience working with your team.

I rate my experience as a 9/10. We had slow days, but in the end we pulled it off and was a great team.

Who was your client?

Our client was my Dad, Arthur Leung.

How did you get your job?

I asked him for the job and since he is the manager, he is fine with letting us experiment with the company. He used to have my sister when she was in high school to work with him so he was fine and wanted to see what I could do.

Did you deal with the client directly?

Yes, I sometimes talk to him about it at home. He usually wants to know how to project is going and says teases that I'll do a bad job.

Was there some sort of compensation?

No, just experience.

What was your role?

I was the person who brought information to our group in what my dad wanted us to do. I also did the corporate identities.

Did you act professionally?

Not really since he's my dad, but the rest of the team did.

Did your client act professionally?

Not really, other than when he was assigning me the work.

Describe the work you did.

I did the corporate identity. It showed how their company card, letter, envelope, etc would look like.

Describe your creative process.

I took their logo and incorporated into the items. Then I put a contrast between the background and the actual items to highlight contrast in the picture.

How often did you communicate with your client?

Often, since I see him at home all the time. However, we talked about the project a few times only.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?

We just critic each others work while working on it.

Were you able to meet the deadline?

We finished before the deadline so yes.

What was the feedback from your client?

Not bad, but could be better. He said it was not bad for me, but we're on our way to make it look professional.

Did your client require changes?

He suggested what we could of done differently but did not require changes.

What was your favorite part working with the client?

He wasn't that extreme, provided feedback, and was honest.

What was your least favorite part working with the client?

Him picking on my work.

Would you do anything differently?

Emphasize less on the logo and try to incorporate the logo without using the logo.

What did you learn from this experience?

That there can always be different ways to do the corporate identity and I can imply the company without using the logo.

Who was your client? Our Client was Aaron's parents since they owned a donut business and needed some sort of online presence.

How did you get your job? Aaron's parents needed an online presence and so we decided to help them create a little blog to help them along the way. We hoped that the website would help them get more customers and prosper.

Did you deal with the client directly? No, Aaron's parents were much to busy and the donut business requires them to be monitoring their business on an almost 24-hour basis.

Was there some sort of compensation? Yes, we were given CSL hours by her parents and a sweet amount of donuts for our work.

What was your role? I was one of the graphic designers responsible for making the Weebly orientated blog.

Did you act professionally? I never had a chance to contact his parents directly and so everything was done through a command chain process.

Did your client act professionally? Yes, they would inform Aaron of what they expected and he would dish out the work to be done and then we would all collaborate in completing said work.

Describe the work you did. Describe your creative process. We would begin with a simple concept of a certain idea and then work on a corresponding background then filling in the foreground with relevant information and pictorials.

How often did you communicate with your client? We had an almost daily communication since Aaron lives with the said client and he could update us on what needed to be done and also relay information back to his parents and seek their approval.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work? No, we were left to our own discretion but we would peruse each others work to check for discrepancies.

Were you able to meet the deadline? Yes, we had considerable amount of time to complete our work and an adequate amount of work ethic.

What was the feedback from your client? Since they have no internet experience, our mostly unprofessional work was a godsent blessing to them.

Did your client require changes? No, they were quite happy with the effort and the time we put into creating their Weebly.

What was your favorite part working with the client? That Aaron seemed to be incharge so we never had to actually come up with anything ourselves and only had to listen to the ideas that he had and correspond that onto the computer.

What was your least favorite part working with the client? That we got free donuts because of how grateful they were for our help.

Would you do anything differently? No, We did fairly well and the process was easy to follow.
What did you learn from this experience? That many people like free help and would rather choose something for free even if it was a little poor in design than to pay for a legitimate service.

Who was your client?

Aaron’s parents Joanne and Leng  Ly were our clients.

How did you get your job?

Aaron asked his parents and they agreed to give us jobs to perform.

Did you deal with the client directly?

Unlike our first client project, we did not directly communicate with our client. This time, Aaron was the one who communicated with his parents and directly told us what to do for the website.

Was there some sort of compensation?

The compensation was 3 hours of community service.

What was your role?

My role was to design the Start- Up page for the website.

Did you act professionally?

We worked professionally on the website but had a bit of fun on it since his parents said we could put anything on as long as it wasn’t illegal or would insult anyone.

Did your client act professionally?

They were serious and professional in making sure we had their specific instructions but were lenient on the other “fun” areas we did.

Describe the work you did.

My job was to create the start-up page; the page that people look at when they first open the website. I made a short introduction to appeal the customers in and then posts some donut puns.

Describe your creative process.

I made the start-up page a poem like introduction as I took inspiration from the Willy Wonka Nerds candy. They have a poem on the back of their product which I took inspiration from. Also, I did the punny pictures to create an environment of happiness.

How often did you communicate with your client?

Not often, only Aaron really communicated with them.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?

No, but we did overlook each other works to correct and offer better solutions to the each other in order to make the website better.

Were you able to meet the deadline?

Yes, we were able to meet the deadline.

What was the feedback from your client?

They said they found the website funny and they liked how clear the images were.

Did your client require changes?

No, they found the website suitable and are currently using it as their official website as they really liked it.

What was your favorite part working with the client?

The communication that we had provided us with more freedom. This let us have more creative ideas and it provided us me an experience of working with limited information.

What was your least favorite part working with the client?

My least favorite part was the lack of information the client provided us. They really did not have much specific things they wanted us to do but I still enjoyed making the website.

Would you do anything differently?

Yes, I would probably ask for more information to implent as the website is a bit lacking in information. Furthermore, it can probably have an entire change in background.

What did you learn from this experience?

I learned that with less communication, I could do more with the website. I had more freedom to do what I wanted and thus, lead me to do more things I wanted on the website. This, to me, is actually a very effective way to work and I found I prefer this method over the constant meetings that we had with Anthony’s parents.
