Who was your client?
Our client was my Dad, Arthur Leung.
How did you get your job?
I asked him for the job and since he is the manager, he is fine with letting us experiment with the company. He used to have my sister when she was in high school to work with him so he was fine and wanted to see what I could do.
Did you deal with the client directly?
Yes, I sometimes talk to him about it at home. He usually wants to know how to project is going and says teases that I'll do a bad job.
Was there some sort of compensation?
No, just experience.
What was your role?
I was the person who brought information to our group in what my dad wanted us to do. I also did the corporate identities.
Did you act professionally?
Not really since he's my dad, but the rest of the team did.
Did your client act professionally?
Not really, other than when he was assigning me the work.
Describe the work you did.
I did the corporate identity. It showed how their company card, letter, envelope, etc would look like.
Describe your creative process.
I took their logo and incorporated into the items. Then I put a contrast between the background and the actual items to highlight contrast in the picture.
How often did you communicate with your client?
Often, since I see him at home all the time. However, we talked about the project a few times only.
Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?
We just critic each others work while working on it.
Were you able to meet the deadline?
We finished before the deadline so yes.
What was the feedback from your client?
Not bad, but could be better. He said it was not bad for me, but we're on our way to make it look professional.
Did your client require changes?
He suggested what we could of done differently but did not require changes.
What was your favorite part working with the client?
He wasn't that extreme, provided feedback, and was honest.
What was your least favorite part working with the client?
Him picking on my work.
Would you do anything differently?
Emphasize less on the logo and try to incorporate the logo without using the logo.
What did you learn from this experience?
That there can always be different ways to do the corporate identity and I can imply the company without using the logo.
