Who was your client?
Our client was my mother's company.

How did you get your job?
We went as a group and I asked my mother.

Did you deal with the client directly?
They came to my house, mooched off our food, and then my mom gave them more food and then she assigned them different assignments.

Was there some sort of compensation?
Yes, we agreed on 4 hours of community service learning hours for redesigning her jewelry store's webpage.

What was your role?
My role was to direct work flow and also to take the work the group did and upload it onto the webpage, no easy task as the admin access to the webpage is not user friendly.

Did you act professionally?
I already do work for my mom and knew what to do so everything was done in a timely and organized fashion.

Did your client act professionally?
My mom is an easy going person and so

Describe the work you did.
My work was to fix the tabs of the website and make sure that there were correct information on the pages so that it would not be clustered, confusing, and unprofessional looking.

Describe your creative process.
I chose to arrange the tabs to be less clunky and less redundant. The tabs/page section needed to be altered so that it wasn't hard to deal with so I made it simpler to access and explore.

How often did you communicate with your client?
I was pestered everyday by my mom and took this as a sign to get things done more hastily even if there was no cause to be brisk.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?
As a group, we did not see each other in meetings or professional settings.

Were you able to meet the deadline?
We were able to meet the deadline.

What was the feedback from your client?
She, being my mother, gave a backhanded praise by citing that we were only highschool students and that the work was befitting our grade.

Did your client require changes?
No she did not.

What was your favorite part working with the client?
She is my mom and I did not need to work over to please her.

What was your least favorite part working with the client?
Having to see my mom pester me every day over doing things properly.

Would you do anything differently?
Not really, but maybe the tab/page section could be improved.

What did you learn from this experience?
That most people do not have a firm understanding of how the web and web designing worked. Many people assumed that the web pages would be in a user-friendly interface and wanted to do certain jobs that would require not only access to the website but also to learn how to work with html effectively.

Who was your client?

Our client was Anthony Chan's mother, Victoria Yuen.

How did you get your job?

We went as a group and asked Anthony's mother.

Did you deal with the client directly?

Yes, we sat down and she assigned us each individual projects. We worked out an appropriate limit for compensation and she signed the contract after we both agreed on a suitable plan.

Was there some sort of compensation?

Yes, we agreed on 4 hours of community service learning hours for redesigning her jewelry store's webpage.

What was your role?

My role was to make sure the client understood our contract and made sure that both sides agreed on the amount of compensation we would be receiving for our quality of work.

Did you act professionally?

We worked as professionally as we could but Anthony's mom was very outgoing and gave a sense of comfort. Therefore, our professionalism was a bit lax but overall it went fine.

Did your client act professionally?

Our client made many jokes and teased us but she acted professionally during the job assignment. She understood our contract and took it seriously but overall, was very chill.

We only met her during the meeting of the start date. However, we were messaged once that she saw the website design and was liking how it was turning out. Then the last time we saw her was when we completed our work.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?

We did not hold meetings but we did discuss briefly of the work that was progressing. We criticized each others work and tried to make it as best as we could.

Were you able to meet the deadline?

We were able to meet the deadline.

What was the feedback from your client?

They said for a high school team that was starting out, we did better than she expected. She said it was sufficient.

Did your client require changes?

No she did not.

What was your favorite part working with the client?

My favorite part was how chill she was. She understood it was our first project and took it easy on us.

What was your least favorite part working with the client?

My least favorite part was the traveling to the client to meet up with her.

Would you do anything differently?

Not really, but maybe the tab/page section could be improved.

What did you learn from this experience?

I learned that a client can be understanding of a first assignment and that our group is able to alter a website and create something that we did not know we could do. We actually are amazed by the fact that the project ended up as well as it did and it helped us understand our limits with deadlines.

Razer is a personal favorite for me. I love the products they make, which are shiny yet durable and high quality. I am an avid gamer and Razer products give me the potential to reach new heights. Razer is a high quality brand without the high quality price and their products are relatively cheap compared to most other brands.

Lamborghini is a cutting edge Italian super car company. 1st, the company only produces the highest quality super cars such as the Lamborghini Aventador and Lamborghini Huracan. 2nd, Lamborghini very exclusive and to purchase a car would require over $200,000. 3rd and finally, the logo alone is a legend to behold. The logo on a piece of merchandise would triple the price of the item.

1. I chose this because Under Armour is also a famous sports supplier

Brand Identity
Find 5 references for 2 brands. Include the identity examples for each for a total of 10.  Examples for corporate identity can be business card (front & back), envelope, letterhead, advertisement, signage, product, promotional items, packaging, shopping bags, etc.)

Crayola Brand

I picked Crayola because it is a popularly used item for many children growing up. Crayola also has a large selection of products from which I can draw from. The last reason I chose Crayola was because of external stimuli; I found a Crayola color pencil near me.

Benchmade Knives

I picked the knife manufacturing company Benchmade because it is a prestigious knife company and his held in high regards in the knife community. Benchmade knives are works of exquisite craftsmanship with the cheapest knives costing upwards to sixty USD. These knives are not only expensive, they reflect their cost with the chemical make up of the knives. Finally, I've owned a few Benchmade knives and can attest to the strength and durability of each knife and can see and feel the effort put into the making of each knife.

Apple

  1. I chose this because it was the first thing that came to mind.
  2. I also chose this because I have an iPhone and it's used by many people.
  3. It is a widespread product that is popularly used everywhere and it advances technology.
Samsung

  1. I chose this because it is also used everywhere like Apple.
  2. Samsung is also used by many people.
  3. I chose this to go against Apple because Apple and Samsung are both competing companies.

Nike

I picked Nike because I like their product; especially their shoes. They were the first branding of shoes I remember wearing. Furthermore, it always intrigued me that a checkmark looking symbol was so universally known and I thought that was interesting. Lastly, I really like the symbol of a check looking symbol because it is simple, which defines the company to me as straight forward and shows the remarkable trait of brilliance through simpleness.

McDonalds

I picked McDonalds because I frequently eat there and their symbol stands out to me. The symbol, like the Nike logo, is simple as it is made with a yellow M. The logo is universally famous too, which makes me choose it to show that simple logos can be remarked as remarkable. The final reason why I chose McDonalds is because the symbol completely shows how it represents the McDonalds franchise as a whole; A yellow M for the first letter letter of their corporation shows the identity of the quick and simple trait McDonalds encompasses as a fast food restaurant.

Brand Identity:

Logo is a design or symbol that a company gives to symbolize their products and corporation. An identity is what makes the company. It is the visual aspect of the corporation that forms the overall brand. Branding is the emotional part of the corporate image as a whole and it reflects the company as a whole.
