Who was your client?

Our client was Anthony Chan's mother, Victoria Yuen.

How did you get your job?

We went as a group and asked Anthony's mother.

Did you deal with the client directly?

Yes, we sat down and she assigned us each individual projects. We worked out an appropriate limit for compensation and she signed the contract after we both agreed on a suitable plan.

Was there some sort of compensation?

Yes, we agreed on 4 hours of community service learning hours for redesigning her jewelry store's webpage.

What was your role?

My role was to make sure the client understood our contract and made sure that both sides agreed on the amount of compensation we would be receiving for our quality of work.

Did you act professionally?

We worked as professionally as we could but Anthony's mom was very outgoing and gave a sense of comfort. Therefore, our professionalism was a bit lax but overall it went fine.

Did your client act professionally?

Our client made many jokes and teased us but she acted professionally during the job assignment. She understood our contract and took it seriously but overall, was very chill.

Describe the work you did.

My work was to fix the tabs of the website and make sure that there were correct information on the pages so that it would not be clustered, confusing, and unprofessional looking.

Describe your creative process.

I chose to arrange the tabs to be less clunky and less redundant. The tabs/page section needed to be altered so that it wasn't hard to deal with so I made it simpler to access and explore.

How often did you communicate with your client?

We only met her during the meeting of the start date. However, we were messaged once that she saw the website design and was liking how it was turning out. Then the last time we saw her was when we completed our work.

Did you have regular meetings to look over proofs or progress of work?

We did not hold meetings but we did discuss briefly of the work that was progressing. We criticized each others work and tried to make it as best as we could.

Were you able to meet the deadline?

We were able to meet the deadline.

What was the feedback from your client?

They said for a high school team that was starting out, we did better than she expected. She said it was sufficient.

Did your client require changes?

No she did not.

What was your favorite part working with the client?

My favorite part was how chill she was. She understood it was our first project and took it easy on us.

What was your least favorite part working with the client?

My least favorite part was the traveling to the client to meet up with her.

Would you do anything differently?

Not really, but maybe the tab/page section could be improved.

What did you learn from this experience?

I learned that a client can be understanding of a first assignment and that our group is able to alter a website and create something that we did not know we could do. We actually are amazed by the fact that the project ended up as well as it did and it helped us understand our limits with deadlines.
